Channeling is merging with the consciousness of a Spirit Guide and allowing his or her thoughts to come forth. Yes, talking with invisible Spirit Guide Friends may sound a little “crazy.” But so does talking with Animals. What I am saying is that this is not crazy, just beyond the accepted scope of what my society finds acceptable. But remember, our modern culture evolved from an ancient foraging culture that relied heavily upon the earth, the animals, and the plants. And this is the state of reality, and the “Ancient Friends,” that I consult and who guide me.
I first began channeling through “inspirational writing,” which is writing down stuff that is beyond what my thinking-mind knew. Through meditation, or talking with like-minded friends, or coincidence of seeing the same unusual topic over, and over again, I would research a topic, such as a long-ago religion, or ancient culture, or fabled culture, and the more I would read, the more the puzzle pieces of a possible reality would materialize.
Was I simply fantasizing about a culture and “making up” a scenario that fit into the limited knowledge I was reading. I would say “yes” if it wasn’t for the physical sensations of healing that I experienced. And later, the odd ability to speak knowledge with an accent, and then I developed the ability to “talk in tongues.”
I always have questioned my mind’s ability to process and understand phenomena. And as I have outlined in my Psychic Awareness Series of books, I simply can’t explain away some of the odd experiences I’ve had. Let alone the strange abilities I’ve developed.
Channeling is tapping into the vibration, the consciousness, of another individual and merging, or joining, with said awareness, and speaking, or writing, the Spirit Guide’s words. The inflection of the sentencing is different than how I usually speak, as is the vocabulary, and the content expands beyond my knowledge too. As the channeler, I sense a “light-headedness,” a sort of loss of body awareness, as if I’m in an overly tired or semi-intoxicated state. And as I “leave my body” I know the personality of the being I’m accepting to channel through me.
At first, I was afraid of channeling some unbeknownst evil entity. I know this may sound “silly.” But I was raised in a fear-based duality of heaven and hell-bound beings. And I certainly did not want to risk allowing a hell-bound entity to “possess” me!
It was Yellow Dog that discovered a failsafe that I found agreeable. I was at a drum circle with friends and felt the unwavering urge to yell a few “yip yips” of a barking dog. And then I was later lapsing into talking in a strange language when I couldn’t figure out how to explain how I was feeling. And this morphed into me knowing how to use the “talking in tongue” thing to interpret the thoughts of animals.
You see, Yellow Dog would have merged with the animal in question. I would speak his words, and while speaking in tongue, I would understand what he was relaying as the merged animal’s consciousness, and thus what the animal was feeling. This “party line” of communication was somewhat cumbersome, but I always felt assured that information I was receiving was not just “my imagination,” but rather divine intervention from beyond, whenever I could allow that odd language to escape my mouth.
Over the years I have become so accustomed to Yellow Dog’s presence that I rarely use his language to feel connected to him. I simply still my body and allow myself to merge, and then I share his knowledge. And this is the topic of my next entry. Merging with the consciousness of an animal. An ability that we all have. But what I needed to learn from an Ancient Shapeshifter of a Spirit Guide to perfect.
Until next time,
Suzy 😊
