The following is an excerpt from Chapter 4 in The Pet Psychic, entitled Spirit Guides.
I have an impatient personality and am always looking to graduate—to be finished with any “new stuff” and to perfect all that I have gleaned so far. I had learned Reiki healing from two different teachers. I was using the energy to heal myself too. I thought I had plateaued; my energy had peaked with Red and Deb as my spirit guides…and then…I met two new spirit guides when my intention shifted from simple curiosity, and the task of healing myself, to working as an animal communicator, and performing energy healing sessions on others. Yellow Dog fills me in:
It was a shift in what you call your “intention,” or vibration, that necessitate the ushering in of “new guides.” Remember, all are part of your soul group. All are connected. It was just your limited awareness that allowed you to see those that are nearby.
To give an example…there is music playing on what you call “the air waves,” and yet, you don’t necessarily “hear” all that music. It is the intention of tuning into a radio station that allows the vibration of a specific radio station to be received. This is the same intention you use when “new guides” appear.
Your chosen path when you were working with the three—the comfort, protector, and teacher guides—was one of cautious exploration. When you changed your intention to learn more about the Reiki, or what you call energy healing, your vibration shifted. Yes, the Reiki teacher did share her intention through what you call an attunement. But this is more complex than a simple agreement between teacher and apprentice. Yes, there is the vibration, or intention, of the teacher and student that can harmonize. But it was your ability to expand frequencies that allowed you to perceive the appearance of “new guides.” Just as your later choice of teaching others, and your choice of working with energy healing as a path toward income; and even your choice to journal, and later to write and publish about your experiences. All these choices have changed your ability to expand. This is the true reason for new guides. It is not that anything or anyone is “new.” It is simply that you have chosen to expand further beyond the confines of three- and four-dimensional awareness and tuned in a wider variety of radio stations.
Bringing expanded realities into your conscious mind takes time. Many sense the change from the fourth dimension to the fifth dimension as “dizziness,” while others talk of hearing a sound or pitch, some sense different smells, while another could see waves of light, color, or forms of figures. Each human vibration is unique in their cultural beliefs, genetic components, and intentions. Your vibration wanted to vocalize. This is why the chanting, or what you call an ancient language, was so beneficial when adjusting to working within the expansion of your “new guides.”
I am a natural introvert, the kind of woman who will sing along with a radio when I am alone, but I naturally shy away from performing in front of others. The same year I was taking my Reiki classes I was urged by a friend to “sign up” for a group of classes that used the crystal bowl as a form of meditation, healing work, and toning. Toning is vocalizing without words, like humming but with your mouth open and using mostly vowel sounds. The noise of the toning by our teacher was relaxing, as if angels were singing from the heavens above. I enjoyed the meditation of this set of classes, but when I attended a class where I was to vocalize in front of others, my previous state of meditative pleasure evaporated into performance anxiety.
As with many of the experiences I’ve had in life, I didn’t think I’d ever tone in front of people. Yellow Dog explains what happened better than I can:
But the vibration exchange while vocalizing was too tempting. Don’t you see little one, what you call “toning” is the physical voice allowing a vibration to come through. What you call “getting lost” in the toning is expanding your awareness into a new form of existence. This was why you opened your natural ability to chant and channel. The vibration of intention, the purpose of the soul, is strong. The desire to understand was placed within your psyche, and your tennis-ball-self responded in due time. All is perfect.
