Yellow Dog speaks:
When working as an animal communicator, Suzy relies on the appearance of emotion, and the memory of her relationships, to know she is of “one mind” with her chosen guides. It is this expanded state of the reader that can also access communication with the pet/horse. The animal realm, let us say a horse, naturally has access to the common consciousness of the species without the separation that human language provides the human species. A horse knows the mood of the other horse by sensing their shared energy of agitation or relaxation. Yes, there is the symbology of known sign language. Like a pinned ear symbol being accompanied by a grumpy horse. But humans don’t always convey such obvious signs of emotion.
A human yelling angry words can be confusing to a horse when the human’s emotion behind the angry words can be indifferent, humorous, afraid, or selfish. Animal’s behaviors seldom reflect a hidden ability to lie or manipulate, while the human language could be totally opposite of the human’s apparent state of being. This is the reason why merging with the consciousness of the animal, and the environment, is such an essential part of animal communication. The human species can deny that nature is not important, but the cruel fact is that all who live upon the earth are part of Earth.
Earth is a living being, just as rivers, lakes, mountains, and the wind have a vibration, or what the Indigenous people label as a “Spirit.” For what is a personality but a vibration? What is a separate consciousness but an individual vibration? Yes, not all beings exist within the same frame of reasoning or existence, but all beings vibrate and do, indeed, exist.
And like the skin cells of a human body are part of the human form, so is the human species part of what creates the vibration of Earth. And just as skin cells of the human body interact with one another and react the same as a “species,” so does a mammalian species interact amongst one another as a vital aspect of Earth, or what you call an “eco-system” or “the environment.” Seeing energy through the eyes of a Shaman is not an easy task for a twenty-first century human. But I ask you to open your mind, pretend, experiment, and be astounded by the new reality that has always existed around you.
This might sound a bit like a cliche, but Yellow Dog shows me the symbol for hugging a tree:
This simple act of stepping outside and hugging a tree with a sense of joy and appreciation can be rather freeing; a method of releasing any stale thoughts, worries, or fears. If you choose not to be obvious, then simply go outside and sit with your back, or even your chair, against a tree. Allow the trunk to touch your body, allow the tree’s roots to ground your physical form. Allow your being to vibrate as one with the tree.
Breath in the air around you. Become aware of the sounds of nature. Be one with the tree that welcomes you.
This new understanding of vibration, or Spirit of a Tree, may be confusing as your mind needs to organize facts into three- and four-dimensional reality. If the Spirit of a Tree were a melody, what would it sound like? If the Spirit of a Tree had a dance, how would your body express its flow? Your eyes perceive a tree as stagnant and non-moving, yet all is constantly moving upon Earth. Your science confirms the earth is spinning and rotating around the sun, and yet your physical body is not aware of this. Your science confirms that you are composed of moving atoms and electrons, your blood cells are moving within your body, pumped by a heart that is always drumming and bellows of lungs flowing in and out, in and out…yet the human is frequently unaware of this movement. So does the tree flow, water traveling up and down the trunk, roots stretching into the earth, buds opening, leaves and branches growing. There is even heliotropism, or the plant’s tendency to turn its leaves toward the sun over the course of the day.
A tree is NOT still; it is simply the human ego that assumes it is.
